Eugene Shih is a computer
science graduate student at MIT. He earned a BS
in Computer Engineering from
the University of Washington and
an SM in Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science from MIT.
Eugene is interested in the areas of mobile and ubiquitous computing and in particular, the design and development of ubiquitous computing systems for healthcare and medicine. In general, he likes to build things and put theory into practice. Eugene is currently a member of CSAIL and works with John Guttag.
Though he thinks of Boston as home, Eugene has not lost touch with all of his Canadian roots; he still enjoys watching hockey and complaining about cold weather. In his leisure time, Eugene likes to hike, cook, code, and read. He also enjoys salsa dancing and Asian American activism.
